Tackle Racism

image

Racist chants or actions are not tolerated at the Brewery Field in any shape or form at any sporting event.

Any offenders caught in the act of racist chanting, that includes but is not limited to anti-English chanting, will not only be ejected from the game but will be banned from the Brewery Field and may be charged under The Race Relations Act 1976 and the RRAA Race Relations (Amendment) Act 2000.

The Rugby Football League is in full support of these actions through their "Tackle It" campaign.

The RFL's policy is to provide a sport that is open to all no matter what their race, religious beliefs or sexuality orientation may be and it is now working hard to develop the initiative within the next few months.

The ‘Tackle It Tackling Racism in Rugby League campaign' is just one of the tools being embraced to enable the game in its vision of growth by accessing the wider community. The work being carried out to support the firm commitment to achieving the Equality Standard - a framework for Sport will also be supported by the game's stance on racial abuse"
